Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion to sprint at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. In 2003 Felix graduated from high school signing a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her competitions.
