Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is an incredible Hollywood author and actress who's talents have brought the attention of critics and acclaim. Sagittarius. She was born in North Carolina, on 3rd December 1960. She's one of the three children of Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a parachutist. She's English, Scottish and of mixed descent. In the course of her father's employment, the Moore family moved a lot and she had to work hard to make friendships, or to keep ones. Moore's family relocated from the United States to Germany and she was a student at Frankfurt American High School, in which her first roles were on stage in the stage. She graduated in 1983 with a BA in Fine Arts from Boston University. Moore graduated in 1983, with an B.F.A. Moore made the move into New York after graduating and began her career in off-Broadway theatre. In the episode The Edge of Night in 1985, Moore made her first on-screen appearance. She played two roles as Frannie and Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns. This was the show that became her first break. She was on the show between 1988 and 1990, and was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990, her first film appearance came in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. This film she later described as a bad budget production. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), both Robert Altman productions, were her first film. It was critically acclaimed, and Moore was nominated for multiple awards. Moore landed her first role as a lead on the screen in Safe (1995). The actress' career took a turn as Steven Spielberg cast her to be the main character in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which was one of 1997's highest-grossing movies. In 1999, she appeared in the critically acclaimed Magnolia and received a SAG Award nomination in recognition of her work. The Hours starred Moore in 2002. It was also nominated by the nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. Moore has also starred in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. Non-Stop was her 2014 film. Moore has been on numerous TV and film series. Her most recent starring role was in the film When You Finish Saving the World (2022). She's established herself in Hollywood as well as being a successful children's book author. The first book she published was Freckleface Strawberry in 2007 and it became a N.Y.T. It was adapted as the basis for a musical and TV series. Additionally, in 2013 Moore released her novel My Mother is a Stranger. Moore lives a flamboyant life as a renowned actor and a novelist. In 1984, she got married to John Robin and in 1995 they divorced. Moore has two children along with Bart Freundlich whom she later married in 2003. Moore's life is all about her children, friends, and profession.
